Today, International Women's Day is a public holiday in some countries and largely ignored elsewhere. In some countries, it is a day of protest and there are demonstrations for women's rights, to highlight the problems women and girls all over the world still face. See Spain's 2018 IWD

2. Now compare your answers with a partner. Did you agree with your partner in the classification? What similarities and differences were there in your answers?
3. What kind of jobs are typically associated with women? Which are typically associated with men?
4. Can you think of how many people you know with the jobs above? How many are men? How many are women? Count them and compare your answers with your partner.
PART 2: POST-WATCHING DISCUSSION
5. Do most of the children in the video draw male or female firefighters, pilots, and surgeons? Why do you think that is?
6. What is the children’s reaction when they realize the actual firefighter, pilot, and surgeon are women?
7. Are these three jobs typically associated with men or with women?
8. Do you know any female firefighters, pilots or surgeons?
9. How do you think the experience in the video influenced the boys and girls who appeared in it?

2. What adjectives or expressions are typically associated with men? And to women? For example, “boys don’t cry”, " crying is for girls", women stay home with their children".

3. Why do the girls in the video react differently from the rest of the people when asked to run like a girl, fight like a girl and throw like a girl?
4. Have you ever heard any comments similar to “you run like a girl”? How did you feel when you heard them?

Adjectives/Adverbs
Adjectives - word order: When there are two or more adjectives before a noun there are some complicated "rules" for the order in which they should appear. These are the most important:
- opinion adjectives come before fact adjectives
- fact adjectives appear as follows: size - age - colour - origin - material
Here are some examples:
- a silly old man (an old silly man )
- a beautiful blue butterfly (a blue beautiful butterfly )
- an interesting historical film (a historical interesting film)
- a huge metal box (a metal huge box )
- a new red dress (a red new dress )
- little Russian dolls (Russian little dolls )

Tom Sawyer is a kid who doesn't like school and who prefers to enjoy playing on the banks of the river. His aunt Polly is very worried because he always gets in trouble. But Tom is a rebellious and adventurous child with a big heart. He spends his days with his best friend, Huckleberry Finn. The two friends like to fish, sleep, eat and play at being pirates. One day, they find a mysterious treasure in a cemetery. They decide to hide it in a cave, but a very dangerous murderer will follow them.

Tom Sawyer is a young boy who lives near the Mississippi River. He is easy-going, peaceful and a bit naughty. He always skips school classes and goes to play. His biggest dream is to be a pirate in search of great treasures.
He is an orphan who has been raised by his aunt Polly. Huckleberry Finn, like Tom, is a boy who does not like going to school. He prefers to relax and whistle. He has pimples on his face, but he is convinced that he will be a millionaire and that no one will care. Huck is clumsy and not as clever as Tom, but he’s determined and brave.

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is celebrated in the USA and Canada. In The USA, it is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November every year. The Canadians celebrate it on the second Monday in October. It is associated with giving thanks to God. In the beginning, people expressed gratitude for the harvest they reaped. It used to be a religious holiday but now it has become a secular celebration.
The most important part of the celebration is the dinner which includes the customary turkey served with cranberry sauce, and pumpkin. A lot of business goes on during this holiday. For example, restaurants take advantage of the holiday to sell turkey dinners Families and friends usually get together for a large meal or dinner during Thanksgiving and have a lot of fun. That's why the Thanksgiving holiday weekend is considered one of the busiest travel periods of the year. Students are given a four-day or five-day weekend vacation. Thanksgiving is also a paid holiday for most workers.
